Dispatch & Order Fulfilment Notes
A general outline of how incoming orders are prepared, how parcels are passed to carriers, and what can reasonably be expected between checkout and final delivery.
Preparing Orders With Care
Each order is reviewed, packed, and passed to a carrier with a reasonable amount of attention. The sections below describe the practical side of things — preparation time, delivery areas, service options, how costs are calculated, tracking updates, cross-border matters, and the steps to follow when something goes wrong. The wording is deliberately broad so that it can apply across a wide range of destinations and order types.
Preparation Windows
After payment has been fully confirmed, orders usually join the preparation queue within 2–5 business days.
- Orders submitted on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday normally begin processing on the following working day.
- During seasonal sales, promotional windows, or periods of unusually high volume, preparation and hand-off to the carrier may take somewhat longer than usual. A modest delay during these stretches is not unusual, and patience is genuinely appreciated.
Delivery Areas
Orders can currently be delivered throughout the United States, as well as to a curated selection of international destinations.
If a location does not appear as an option during checkout, a brief message to support@sterilites.com is the quickest way to confirm whether a workable delivery route exists.
Service Options & Estimated Transit Times
All delivery windows shown below are estimates counted from the day a parcel is handed to the carrier — not from the day the order was placed. Seasonal weather, carrier congestion, and customs handling on international parcels can all affect the actual arrival date.
Within the United States
- Standard delivery: approximately 5–11 business days
- Expedited delivery: approximately 2–5 business days
International Destinations
Estimated transit time: roughly 7–22 business days, depending on the destination and the service selected at checkout.
How Delivery Charges Are Calculated
Delivery charges are worked out automatically and shown clearly at checkout. Three factors feed into the final figure:
- The full destination address
- The delivery service chosen
- The total weight and dimensions of the items ordered
Some orders may qualify for a free-delivery promotion. Any applicable discount is displayed on the checkout page before payment is confirmed, so the total is visible ahead of time.
Following a Shipment
When a parcel leaves the warehouse, a dispatch confirmation is sent to the email address on file, together with a tracking reference.
Tracking information usually takes 24–72 hours to sync fully with carrier systems. If the tracking page looks empty right after the confirmation arrives, it is worth checking again a little later.
Cross-Border Duties & Import Charges
For shipments delivered outside the United States, a few points are worth noting:
- Local customs authorities may apply duties, import taxes, clearance charges, or other administrative fees once a parcel arrives.
- These additional charges rest with the recipient and are not included in product pricing or base delivery fees.
Before placing an international order, it can help to check with the local customs office about applicable rules and expected charges.
Carriers Used
Established logistics partners with full tracking are used for both domestic and international deliveries:
- USPS: economical, dependable standard delivery within the United States
- UPS: quick and secure transport, well suited to expedited domestic shipments
- FedEx: end-to-end tracked delivery for both domestic and cross-border parcels
Address Details & Missed Deliveries
It is worth double-checking the delivery address before completing checkout. Once an order has been dispatched, address changes are generally not possible.
- Where a parcel comes back to the warehouse because the address was incomplete or inaccurate, a further delivery attempt usually involves an additional delivery fee.
- If a delivery attempt is missed, a notice is normally left at the address. The instructions on that notice explain how to arrange collection or a re-delivery.
Damaged or Missing Parcels
Packaging is checked before dispatch to reduce the chance of damage in transit. If a parcel does arrive damaged, or is confirmed missing on the way, a claim can be submitted within 10 calendar days of the expected delivery date.
To speed things along, have the order reference to hand and, where relevant, clear photographs of the damaged packaging or item. The aim is always to settle the matter quickly and sensibly.
Questions About an Order
If anything is unclear about preparation times, delivery estimates, tracking, cross-border rules, address corrections, or a lost or damaged parcel, a message is always welcome.
